An appointment is required to see a physician at our office.
Arrive 30 minutes prior to your appointment. Please call ahead if you will be late or need to cancel so we can adjust our schedule and better accommodate all of our patients. We will try to accommodate patients who arrive slightly early.
If you are unable to keep your scheduled appointment, please notify our office at least 24 hours in advance. This will allow the physician to see someone else who may need an appointment.
For sick visits:
- If you would like a same-day appointment, call early in the day.
- Bring current medications to each visit. Please bring any medication that you are currently taking so that the doctor can have a complete understanding of your medical needs.
- Schedule non-urgent appointments on a day other than Monday, which is generally our busiest day.
For health maintenance exams (physical exams, well child exams):
- We recommend scheduling physical exams before or after cold and flu season, as this is our busiest time of the year.
- Unless otherwise instructed by your physician, children over six years of age should have complete physical exam every two years. Since it is not important that this examination be done around your child's birthday, we prefer that you schedule these check-ups in the late spring through early fall (May through October).
- Schedule your visits with your PCP. If your own physician is not in the office when you call regarding a chronic or non-urgent problem, please schedule an appointment for after he or she returns. It is always better to have your own physician work with you on long-term care issues.
For school forms (pre-school, kindergarden):
- If you know your child's exam and immunizations are up to date, bring in required form and allow 5-7 workings days for completion.
- If you are unsure if your child's exam or shots are up to date, leave the form and a copy of your child's immunization record with the receptionist for review.
- If your child needs a PPD (TB skin test for tuberculosis), please do not schedule on a Thursday or a Friday before a 3-day weekend (your child will need to return within 48-72 hrs of the PPD placement for reading).
On Weekends and Evenings:
- Most insurance companies will have a nurse advice line. You can check your insurance card for a toll free (1-800) number.
- If you have an urgent issue, you can contact us after hours or on the weekend, by calling the answering service at (408)554-2810.
